Homework Interview

We have another wonderful blogger joining me today! Carolyn  has wonderful tutorials and is an inspiration everyday. Take a look and show her some love!

1. The one question that you all might get asked the most is, What got you in to blogging?
I’m a work at home Marketing Consultant. When my worked slowed down, I started visiting creative blogs and was fascinated and decided to take the plunge.

2. What made you decide to blog about crafting?
I’ve always been creative and crafty so it was a natural fit for me. I’m always happy to be working on some type of project and now I get to take pictures and post about them.

3. What other talents do you have that your bloggers might not know about?
I enjoy cooking, baking and sewing and plan to do more posts on these subjects in the future.

4. Do you have any advice to new bloggers?
Be yourself and post about things that you love. Whatever goals you have for your blog, it starts with good, quality posts and the rest will follow.

5. Do you feel competition from other bloggers?
Not at all. The blogging community is so generous. Some of the most successful bloggers are successful because they are so willing to share their knowledge and creativity.

6. What's your favorite craft project?
I have several favorites but I recently made some peppermint sugar cubes from leftover candy canes that I loved.

7. What blogger do you admire the most or what blog do you visit the most?
There are so many amazing bloggers and I admire many of them for a variety of reasons; courage, creativity, humor etc.  The blog I currently visit most is Centsational Girl. Her style just amazes me.

8. Where do you see your blogging career taking you?
I’m not sure since this is all so new to me. Exciting opportunities are beginning to open up for me but I’m just taking it one post at a time.

9. Where do you see your blog in five years?
Fingers crossed that my blog is still going in five years… and that I haven’t run out of ideas!

10. How many hours a week do you spend blogging?
I’m currently spending at least 20-30 hours a week blogging. It takes a long time to create a project, style and photograph it, edit the photos and write up a post.  I also spend additional time marketing my blog through social media channels and link parties and answering emails and responding to comments. It’s a full-time job!

11. If you are a new blogger do you seek help from others?
I’ve been blogging for a year and half and still seek help from others. I’m constantly learning something new.

12. How many post do you typically put up on a week?
I post Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend post for a special event.

See you tomorrow for more blogger fun!
