I have been hooked on Futurama for years now and I watch every episode thousand time! I also have a every large selection of futurama figures and comic books. If you have never watched it I know they have most of the season on Netflix.
So I decided that poor little lonely and abused Zoidberg really needed a home. Here is how to make a terrarium into a Zoidberg home.
You will need a couple of things:
1. Soil
2. Plants
3. Rock
4. Figuring
5. Plastic Bag
6. Jar or little green house like mine
I got my little green house at Michael's during Christmas season. Its such a cute piece that I did not have the heart to put it away after Christmas. I really wanted to make something special with it. Since the little green house is made out of metal which rust with water and time I decided to place a plastic bag on the bottom. The plastic bag will help with the container from getting rusty right away and killing my plants.
Now you are ready for the rocks. I got my rocks from the beach! If you have a backyard then just grabbing small one will be great. If you get your rocks from the beach you will need to wash them since they will have some salty residue left over from the ocean.
Its time for dirty part begins depending on how much practice you have had. Its time to place the soil into my little green house. I made a huge mess on my table but I've always been a little messy. Its the life of a crafter I guess.
I added about one to two inches of soil before adding the plants. I purchased my cute little plants from Albertsons for $1.50 each. I though it was a steal since I don't have any nurseries by me. After adding the plants and added more soil to cover the roots.
My little Zoidberg now has a home in my terrarium. My hubby found a cute little rock in the form of heart and gave it to me. I though it was so sweet of him to think of me!
So now you have a wonderful little Terrarium.
Stay Crafty!
