Halloween Tags a little early

I am participating on the Tim Holtz 12 tag of 2012 and since Halloween its on my mind 24/7 I decided to to a Halloween tag. As you might already now I just love Halloween and can’t wait to show you  all the new craft that I am planning.

I used a Michaels dollar frame and removed the backing so the stamp would be displayed on the tag.  I used  distress ink pad for most of the tag.
I hope you liked my sneak peek into what coming up soon for Halloween!!!

Baby Wipe Storage for Inks

We were in the process of moving from Texas to California and I had to figure out how to store my inks so if one broke they will not spill all over everything. I started looking through the apartment to see what would be good to fix my problem and, of course since i have a 21 month old,  I have plenty of baby wipes containers that sparked my idea! Why not just use the baby wipe container to keep all of my inks while they are being transported.

I have over 50 different kind of ink and I packed each one individually in their own little bag to make sure if one broke they will not get all over the other inks.
They fit perfectly in the baby wipe container! They container is also sturdy enough to take any punishment from the move. I have get to find out how the ink did, but once I do I will let you know.
My next problem was how to store my many cute tags that I have made. All of our belongings where being packed by the movers I wanted to pre-pack certain thing to make sure they will survive the move. I know from past experience that moving companies don’t take great care of your items.
I again went in search around my apartment for something water proof of sorts and sturdy enough that it won’t bend in trasport and I came to the same conclusion, baby wipe container.
I know you are probably looking at my cute socks right, but really you should be looking at the baby wipe container I used to keep my tags safe. If you have a small child at home and you are moving than likely you have plenty of wipe containers at home. If you don’t have a child and would like any old reason to buy wipes, then let me list a few.
You can use wipes for craft projects,
cleaning your car,
cleaning your dogs paws after a rainy day
and even
cleaning your shoes after a run.
See you have a few reason to go buy some wipes.
I stored all my tags that were decorated into the smaller container. I am crossing my fingers everything gets there okay.
Once I am settled back at our new apartment I will get into decorating the containers. I did not want to decorate them before the move because I did not want them to get damaged. I can’t wait to show you all the new look of the baby wipes container all decked out!
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
See you tomorrow!

Making a Tag a day

I love making tags and I decided that it would be fun to make a tag a day. I am very excited to show you all a mini tag series I am working on. The mini series I am making  is like a story board. I am so excited to show you all the first two tags that start setting up the story line.
First lets start with a tag that represents what is going on in my life right now.

I began the first tag on June 23, 2012. It represent my first trip to San Diego which is coming up really soon. I will be posting pictures of my trips as soon as I can.  I am really excite about the trip.
On June 24, 2012 I did my first tag on a mini series.
The story begins with two children playing under a big tree enjoying each other company with such innocence.

I used a page of a book as a background of the photo and I also used  Tim Holtz distress ink pad to make  photo looked aged with time.
On June 25, 2012 I did a tag with the same once young children now older and in their teens. They are exploring their feeling for each other and wondering what the future will hold. Our first love will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Behind the photo I used a old paper blue bag and inked it with Tim Holtz distress ink pads.
The flower I use is made of  pieces of wood shaving. My wonderful sorority sister Mica send me a few flower that she use for her wedding.

I love placing embellishment on my tags. I use metal X0X0 that I found on my local scrapbooking store. I love going to my scrapbooking store you never know what you can find at each visit.

Here their are side by side can you guess where the story ends?
Here are some of the supplies I use on both tags.
Till Next time

Craft Party Tuesday & Tags!

I was a bad blogger yesterday and decided to do my tags and try out my new Dylusion spray inks instead of putting up the link party. I hope you all can forgive me.

If you did not know yet I am a big fan of Alice in wonderland. I’ve had this stamp since January and have not found inpiration to use them. Until now! I used the Dylusion ink spray on the background and the ghosting technique to add different dimesion to the back ground. Then I used the stamps on a book page and pasted it to the tag.

This tag is made out of chipboard and it just sucked in all the color and made them really dark.

By the end of my journey of exploring my inks I had colored fingers and I still have some left over on my fingertip this afternoon.
The Dylusion spray ink come from the line of Dyan Reavely who I hope to be taking a class with this upcoming May. I just love how free spirited she is with her tags and journaling.

Let’s get to our party! First up is Kim from the Sassy Life. Kim used fabric spray to color her couch. It looks brand new.
We also have MeiJo’s Joy she did two tutorials for us one for a walnut rose and the other for a lollipop. They are just so creative and easy to make. Please stop by and show her some love.

Thank you everyone who participated this week!

12 tags of 2012 (March)

I wanted to show you all my tag for March. I am participating on the 12 tags of 2012 at Tim Holtz blog.  I just have this thing for tags, I just love making them!
The butterfly was made with chip board and fabric using a die cut from Tim Holtz line.
Then I used Glossy Accents to make it all shiny.
The purple flower was made with a punch and the yellow flower is made out of wood shavings. My wonderful sorority sister Mica send me the flowers that where left over from her wedding.
I made the love sign from a stamp that I got from Michaels. I stamped the image twice with two different colors and then I traced it over with a black marker. Then I used Distress Ink pads to make the embossing standout more.
Till later.

Final ATC Halloween In

All the Halloween Alice ATC are in and ready to get shipped to everyone. It was a wonderful experience and had so much fun with everyone in the milliande community. I received Mel-made card and they look fantastic. I just love the extra touch she did with taking pages from Alice in wonderland and making them into an envelope. Thank you so much Mel-made!

Below you will find Cindy’s ATC. They are so cute! I love that it said Halloween on them and all the pumpkins. They get me in the Halloween mood.

Laurie sent hers and they have all the characters from Alice in wonderland. I like the little cat inside the pumpkin. All the cards are so wonderful.
Thank you everyone again and I hope to do another swap in the future. The ATC will be down the rabbit hole and to you all soon.

Sneak Peek!

Last night I decided to finally start doing one of my project on my to do list.
But sleep started to take over and I decide to finish the project tonight. But I would like to know what you guys think my project is? Here are the materials:
  1. Mod Podge
  2. Wood
  3. Door knob and plate
  4. Black Paint
  5. Scrapbook paper
  6. White Paint
  7. Brushes
  8. Tape
  9. Glue

I applied the mod podge on the wood and then again on top of the scrapbook paper. After it was dry I cut the extra paper off the wood around the edges. I then  painted the edges black and white.

So tell me what you think the end product will be?
Till tomorrow. :)
