I just love my Midori Narita Airport Traveler’s notebook and I try to find new ways to add little bits of my daily life into each page. I enjoy working with the Traveler’s notebook goodies and the leather. You can set up your Traveler’s notebook in anyway you need for you planning needs. I have one for mom’s day to day things with scheduled and to do list. I have one to which I collect all my movie stubs and Disneyland adventures.
Today I have a video showing off all my cute stamps I have collected over the year from my snail mail. I hope you all enjoy it.
During the past year I’ve been getting into stationary and I just can’t seem to get enough. I find at times I find it that is worst than crafting supplies since they are much smaller and at first you don’t think you have enough. Right now I have to tell you, I do have enough, to make my newest Pokemon stationary craft.
I am always looking at all the wonderful crafter’s making cute paperclips but as much as I like beautiful things, I also like geeky things. At the moment I don’t see many people making geeky stationary. It is how my newest Pokemon stationary craft was born.
I went to a Japanese store and while browsing I found these cute Pokemon key caps/covers and as soon as I saw them it came to me. I purchase three of the original Pokemon, Pikachu, Charmander and Bulbasaur. Pokemon was popular when I was a kid and now that I am an adult my children get to enjoy them as well. We like to play Pokemon go when we go on walks and they have a fun time trying to catch them all! haha.
I would have to say Pikachu is my favorite Pokemon but I really wanted to catch a Snorlax and tonight while writing this, I did! I was just like a little kid when I found one! My hubby just looked at me and smiled. He likes it when I act like a little kid at times since its a rare occurrence . Which is your favorite Pokemon?
I have a video right below where you can see the tutorial! Give the newest Pokemon Stationary craft a try and hope you enjoy it.
Spring is in the air and going to your favorite nursery might be one of your favorite spots to go which is definitely what I like to do. I try really hard to control my urge to buy to0 many plants at one time which is extremely hard to do! I have a wish list of succulents I would love to own and it seems to be getting bigger and bigger with each day. Flipping through Instagram make my wish list get longer due to the beautiful succulents everyone owns and I also started to explore getting more house plants. The hubby wants to have more greenery in the house and I am not going to say no and that’s how mason jar succulent planter came to be.
I won’t lie to you, once upon a time not too long ago…(sounds like star wars, haha. Sorry I geeked out for a minute there) I use to kill plants by just looking at them. However, for the past two year I have been able to keep succulents alive. As I was told and have experienced they are the easiest plants to keep alive. Now I am exploring how to place them in cute little thing like Mason jars. I love Mason jars and if I find something to put in them I will! I had this old Mason jars lemonade dispenser which the nozzle could never get clean enough to use again. When I wanted to throw it out the hubby could not bring himself to do it and I finally decided to do something with it. After a week it finally came to me what I could do with it and I turned it into Mason jar succulent planter.
The beautiful succulent string of pearls which can be very fragile and needs to be handle with care at times was the plant I choose to place inside my Mason jar succulent planter. I have had the string of pearls for two months and tried to keep it shaded area so it would not burn. It was watered once a week. It survived and now it needs a new home! ( insert happy dance!)
First I collected a few things. I got some succulent soil. Succulents like well drain soil to avoid their roots from rotting.
Wood chips for the bottom of the pot will help with drainage. The Mason jar succulent planter is very big and I just did not want to make it super heavy or add too much soil the succulent will probably not use. Specially since I have so many new babies coming in the near future. Woohoo! I love spring!!
I filled the bottom with wood chips to allow the succulent drain well.
Followed with adding cactus and succulent soil to the top.
Then I place my string of pearl succulent on the top.
Finally just add my string of pearls and made sure all the roots are covered by soil, followed my watering. All done with my Mason jar succulent planter, fast and simple!
When we all decided to no longer having children we try to keep as many memories as we can as to remember them through the years. I just love the having finger prints of my kiddos and decided to use canvas this time around to display them on my wall. I went to one of my favorite craft stores and purchased black canvas to make the finger prints of my kiddos with my kids crafts ideas.
The only things you will need is a black canvas and white paint! Its funny I just always seem to have those thing handy at home. They also good thing you can usually get the canvas with a coupon or on sale at your local craft store.
After I hand printed the hands and feet, I used a white gel pen to write their names and date.
What memories will you be making with you kiddos they coming year !
I took a little trip to target like I always do once a week and guess what I found! I cork board from target. I just could not believe how I found the one thing I was eying for a while on the clearance bin. I was so excited to find the cork board from target that I just knew I needed to find the special place for it where everyone can enjoy.
When I got home I started to put it in different places all over the apartment and nothing seem to be right until I reach the fridge!. I decided to add some magnets to the back of the cork board and see if it would hold.
I used super glue to attach the magnets to the back of the cork board. Then I went ahead let it dry and in a minute I had a magnet cork board.
I used it to display my family pictures from our last visit. It can be hard when family is so far away but making good memories is always what we try to do when we visit together.
I made a jewelry organizer DIY because over the years I have been slowly growing my collection. Its also really hard to tell what you have and don’t have when its all in a small trinket box waiting to be discovered. I decided to go to Michael’s and see what they had in stock for inspiration. Guess what I found?! I beautiful had chipboard wired letter. I believed it said planter on the back but that’s is not what I planned to do with this beauty.
I got it home right away with a couple of other things and then went to work.
I used my favorite stain mahogany and let the chipboard soak it up. I let it sit outside for 24 hours to make sure did not have a strong odor.
Afterwards I went to work on hooks to hand the jewelry from it. If it was Christmas time I would have used ornament hooks but since its only spring I needed to make my own. I had jewelry wire and pliers.
I cut a piece or wire which I then bent both end in a hook fashion, that’s all you really need to do.
I placed all my cute necklaces on it with my beautiful stones which help me find what I needed right away.
What do you guys think? I going back to get a couple more letters and use. I also got actual necklace holder which looks great next to my jewelry organizer DIY.
Easter is around the corner and if you need a last minute craft for your little one then I have what you want. I made a Mason Jar Easter Crafts with a few things I got from Target dollar bin. Of course every time I stop by Target I shop the dollar bin and their clearance section and I always find something I had my eye on that just happened to be on clearance. I do believe we are all a little guilty of that, right?
You will need a mason jar, spray paint and hot glue gun.
The first thing you will need to do is spray paint he lid of the Mason jar Easter Crafts. Then you want to gather all the Target goodies from the dollar bin.
You will need to spray paint the wooden bunnies as well with white spray paint.
I then went a head and hot glued the ears and tale. I removed the clips from the hears to be able to hot glued them on.
Its a fun little project to do with the kiddos and so cute to have on your counters. I love working with mason jars and I try to use them as much as I can in any craft project. If you have a few mason jars just laying around then go a head and give it a try!
Happy Easter and hope you all find many Easter eggs this season!
Every Christmas the first movie I see is the Grinch and not just any Grinch movie but the Jim Carey version. I just love and can’t wait to see it very year. I decide to use my mini Christmas tree which I got at target dollar bin and turn it into a Grinch Christmas tree! Of course I am not going this challenge alone but I a joined by other bloggers on this transformation of mini dollar trees.
After I got my target mini tree in the dollar bin I headed over to to my craft store and got Christmas tree branches to wrap around the Christmas tree. I got two packs to make it fuller.
I then wrapped mini Christmas tree lights around the Grinch Christmas tree. I tried to hide the light between the branches.
I then started to hang my ornaments. You can’t go wrong in which way you hang your ornaments. I used red and green mini ornaments. I also got a Christmas tree skirt at target. It has a knitting pattern in which fits perfectly with the Grinch theme.
I placed a Grinch ornament which I had made previously. If you would like to see it tutorial please click here.
If you would also want to take a look at some other great ideas you can do with you mini tree then come and take a look at this wonderful bloggers!
My little girl’s birthday was this past weekend and I can’t believe how fast time flies. I was of course going a mile a minute trying to get things done last minute but it was all worth. I was especially thankful to have good friends and family to share this wonderful day. I was able to use my wood stand to place my baby girl’s cupcakes which my mother in-law made. I also used part of my Christmas decor to flow over the the party table. As you can see my little snowflakes hanging from the ceiling.
The banner I used calligraphy to wish my little girl a happy b-day.
I also wanted the cups to all that extra touch. I used mason jars and I placed wooden medallions with deer attached to it and place them around the mason jar. My hubby and I made the invitation for this special day.
Now you hae and ideas for your baby girl birthday theme party.
I have been seeing a lot of crafts with chipboard letters and I decided to make my own for Christmas. However, when I went in search for my letters it was so hard to find and I went looking specific in late October! I guess I was not the only one thinking of Christmas before Halloween was over. I did finally find them after a couple of stores. Here are my Christmas chipboard letters.
After my hunt for the chipboard letter I cut off one side. I use an X-acto knife for the removal.
Once that was done I colored the chipboard letters with red acrylic paint. After it was dry I went and purchase and garland which I cut up to make fit inside the chipboard letters. Just keep in mind that it will make a little mess when you cut the garland.
I purchased berries and tree cones as well and added it to add that extra pop of color and make it stand out more. I did hot glue some parts of the garland on to the chipboard to make sure if did not just fall off the wall when I put it up.
Once you have done all those thing then you are done! I enjoy seeing a pick-boo of read and the glittery berries I used. A place it up on my wall to remember to be joyous this season and be thankful.
