I made a jewelry organizer DIY because over the years I have been slowly growing my collection. Its also really hard to tell what you have and don’t have when its all in a small trinket box waiting to be discovered. I decided to go to Michael’s and see what they had in stock for inspiration. Guess what I found?! I beautiful had chipboard wired letter. I believed it said planter on the back but that’s is not what I planned to do with this beauty.
I got it home right away with a couple of other things and then went to work.
I used my favorite stain mahogany and let the chipboard soak it up. I let it sit outside for 24 hours to make sure did not have a strong odor.
Afterwards I went to work on hooks to hand the jewelry from it. If it was Christmas time I would have used ornament hooks but since its only spring I needed to make my own. I had jewelry wire and pliers.
I cut a piece or wire which I then bent both end in a hook fashion, that’s all you really need to do.
I placed all my cute necklaces on it with my beautiful stones which help me find what I needed right away.
What do you guys think? I going back to get a couple more letters and use. I also got actual necklace holder which looks great next to my jewelry organizer DIY.
Stay crafty,
Loren
