I’ve had this beauty for a while and wanted to share it with you all. I made a R2D2 Star Wars ring. I know that we are all geeks at heart or we know someone who is a geek and they would all love a geek ring like this one. All it takes it some basic supplies and a little painting talent to make that geeky person happy.
The mold I got from thinkgeek.com and they have very nice stuff for any geek in your life. I place a little bit of white sculpey in the mood and baked it the oven.
Once the mold has cooled, just pop it out and start painting. I used acrylic paints blue, gray and white.
Once you have painted the R2D2 and dried apply a acrylic sealer. The sealer will help keep the paint on the R2D2. The last thing you want is to drop it and have paint come off, trust me, hehe.
I used a ring setting and glued it with E600. Now you have your very own Star Wars R2D2 ring.
You can have a matching set with the Storm Trooper ring and necklace I made last year!
Hi! I hope you don’t mind - I’ve included your project in a round up of ‘gifts for the geek in your life’. I just thought this was so cute. You can see it here (http://www.craftaspell.com/2014/01/25-gifts-for-geek-in-your-life.html) if you’d life.
Thanks!
