The wonderful thing about using chalk paint is that I did not have to mess with my sander. Using chalk paint is great because it very difficult to sand around my kiddos and its way faster to finish a piece by just using chalk paint. To see my home made chalk paint recipe just click here.
I went ahead and used black flat paint on the banker’s chair. I usually get the sample paint from Home Depot because it usually enough for most projects and it allows for about two to three paint coats.

After the paint dried I took a damp cloth and rubbing on the edges of the banker’s chair to remove the chalk paint. I removed the paint in the areas it would get the most wear when being used.

Once I was done I seal the chalk paint so it would not rub off with wear.

Ta-Da! I am done, I am so happy how my chalk paint banker’s chair came out. It has a special place in my home.

Stay Crafty,
