The power of Wonder Woman Shoes!

As I was surfing around I found this cute Wonder Woman converse from Journey! My little one has a pair of Flash and Batman converse and I was oblivious that they also make them for adults!! I am going to try to get a pair of Wonder Woman converse soon.
I wonder if this shoes will give me the strength to do all the thing on my to do list which I never finish.
I also found these cute Wonder Woman heels, which I like but realistically being a mom wearing heels is not always a good idea. I have little toddler who loves to run away from me, so I would not be able to wear them all the time but I wish I could!
How about some Wonder Woman flip flops? Perfect for when you are in a hurry and need that extra mommy power!

If you are in a crafty mood then try your hand at making this cute Wonder Woman glitter flats! Being a Geek Chic has a very cool tutorial on how to.

Keep crating, till next time!

Geeking out with Tea Dispenser Diver!

Who would not love this little diver in your tea cup?! Why dunk a regular old tea bag that looks horrible when you can use this little diver to do the same thing? Its way more stylish, haha.
I don’t drink tea but I would so get one and make myself like hot tea. My hubby just can’t believe I would do that, but I need to give up soda and this would definitively be worth it!
Its expected to come out in October at perpertualkid.com.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
Till next time,
I was not paid to sponsor this product, the written statement is 100% mine.

My First Trip to Comic Con San Diego

I had the great pleasure of going to San Diego Comic Con last minute. My hubby’s good friend was able to get us tickets so we could go for one day. I had a blast, it was exciting looking around and seeing so many different things. At one end of the convention you have the artist alley, at the other end you have all the vendors and in the middle you have all the movie displays that are coming out next year. We saw so much my eyes were not able to take in everything. We had our son for the event and he was really well behaved, however, the people there would walk all over your child. I found myself almost punching a couple of people for not noticing where they were walking and almost walking all over my child. We did not have a stroller with us due to the move and had to carry him through most of the convention. We actually had to avoid the movie display for the most part because that’s where most people where concentrated. On top of that my sister just told me that next year they wont be allowing strollers in the convention center. However, my lil monster will be turning three and he will have a lot more fun next year. We saw a couple of awesome customes at the convention.

The most exciting part for me of the day was seeing Nathan Fillion from Firefly and Castle! His line to get an autograph was huge and I was not able to get in it. It will have to wait till next time but it was great seeing him. He was sitting in the Iron Man 3 display, I am still wondering why? Maybe he will be in it… or not.

We also saw the Walking Dead TV display and took some pictures. My sister is a fan of the show and we could not help but show off just a little, hehe.

We also stopped by the Hobbit display, which was almost close to impossible to get near. It was so crowded it was hard to get any pictures. My lil monster was scared of Gollum, he was trembling in my arms when we were trying to take a picture with Gollum because he looked that real! I can’t wait till the hobbit comes out in theaters it should be a fantastic movie.

We had a blast at the con and now I know why people need multiple days to go to the San Diego Comic Con.
I am still in the process of moving into our apartment, we have been living in a hotel almost a week and it has not been fun. We have been under a lot of stress and very little sleep. Our little one does not sleep the entire night and then sneaks into our bed at night and our puppy hates being stuck in the hotel. Soon we will be in our new home and the excitement of making our new apartment feel like a home begins. I already have ideas for the decor.
Till Later!

Great American Scrapbook Convention Goodies

I had a blast at the Great American Scrapbook Convention. My eyes where going everywhere there was so much to see and learn from each booth. I especially love going to pick up so goodies.

My first stop every year is Judith stamps booth because she has the most unique stamps and fantastic tutorials.

And who does not like to bling things up! I stopped by the Want2scrap booth. They had most of the bling for 99 cent and beautiful chipboard albums.

Then I found Heartfelt Creations and I just fell in love with there products. They where very informative and I just loved all the different techniques you can use to make fabulous things. They had this awesome book handmade that I just want to make one too.

I feel in love with that x-mas tree. Don’t be surprised I do a tutorial on how to make a book like this.
I also stopped by Ten Second Studios. They have magical paints and stray to make everything look rusty! You can use it on anything from paper to fabric the sky is the limit.
This little angel was a purchase from Hobby Lobby and it used to be white ceramic. Now it rusty looking metal. The statue is as light as a feather but looks old and heavy.
They have four acrylic paints and when combine with a ver-day stray turn into different shades of rust and patina.
My last stop of the day was the Jenni Bowlin booth. It was the only booth where you could find unique antiques. I felt like I was in antique shop, I just loved it.
Here all the goodies I got at the convention. I got some antique items and some cute stuff for my mix media art.

Our Trip to Dallas Comic Con

We had a blast at the Dallas Comic Con. I am a very lucky girl to have the comic con on the same weekend as my bday and I just love attending. Everyone goes to the comic con for different reasons. I go to see the comic book artists.  I love buying prints and comic books. Some people like to go for the clothes and the toys and others just to see movie celebrities. Last year I got Leonard Nimoy’s autograph, I was so excited and giddy the whole day!
Yes, I am a big Nerd, but you will never know if you did not come into my home. I have my little nerd corner tucked away. Even my hubby never knew I was a nerd until we started living together.
The first thing we saw when we got to the convention was the line!
The line to purchase tickets was looping around several time but the line with advance tickets was just as long. It was insane, I’ve never seen the convention center so packed.
The next thing we saw was so funny if you don’t want to lose your friends and family you have to make one of these.
You will be able to spot them from faraway.
Then we found the queen of hearts just wandering around and she even lights up! Haha I just love seeing the creativity that people come up with their costumes. Comic Cons is the best place to people watch and see all the different costumes.
My hubby was instantly attracted to Mike Maydak booth. He fell in love with his stylized Marvel super heroes ( *Hubby Note: i just really appreciated his unique stylization of the characters and his etched canvas presentation of his art). He was really down to earth and super sweet. He even wished me a happy bday. We purchased Iron man and Captain America print wrapped canvases. Now we have the theme for our little monster’s room. I’ve been having a hard time trying to figure out a new theme for his room but after seeing the Avengers movie and purchasing the prints I have a couple of ideas. I hope to have his room done in a month. I can’t wait to show you all the transformation.
We also bumped into a storm trooper. One of my favorite things is to see a well made costume and then watching the person take out there wallet to purchase an item, it makes them look so ordinary  compared to the perception you have of that character as seen in movies or book. Its kind of a shock seeing them act like a normal person.
One of my favorite costumes I saw was a female scarecrow from batman. It was fantastically made and she looked awesome.
Now I can’t wait to go to the scrapbooking convention at the end of the month! Fingers crossed to find something unique!
Till next time,

The Tim Holtz Experience

I wanted to let you know that I have another blog call Crane’s Creations in which I post all my paper crafting creations. I am trying to keep my home DIY project and crafting project separated but form time to time I will post them up in both blogs so everyone can see a different part of me. Let me tell you about my experience attending a crafting class with Tim Holtz.

It was my first time attending a craft class and one with Tim Holtz who is a kind of super star in the crafting community. I got there an hour early due to the big response to purchasing the tickets, the store had over 50 people trying to sign up not including the people who where phoning in to sign up.  Long and behold there where already over 50 people there waiting in line to enter the room where the class would take place.

You want to know the funniest part was when the doors opened the ladies ran in to get the best seat possible. I though I was in a race. I’ve never seen grown women run for anything before. It really did not matter to me because I still got a good seat. The reason being that I was by myself and everyone wanted to find seats with there friends.

Before the class started Tim was signing autographs. He was so down to earth, I would love to take another class with him.

Here is my heart in progress during the class. I learned so many new techniques that I plan to use and show you guys.

Here the finished broken heart. I just love it! I was so giddy after class but exhausted and I don’t get up at 6:30 am very often and the class was 3 hrs long and then I spent and hour purchasing some goodies.

This is my new work in progress, I am using a dunny with metallic foil from ranger to cover it and the new techniques I learned in class. It’s turning out very nicely and I hope to show it to you all really soon.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Convention!!

I just love conventions!!

I went to the Heirloom Convention here in Dallas, Texas about two weekends ago. I had so much fun! I visited all my favorite booths. The first one I stop by was Lost Coast Design. They have all my Alice in wonderland stamps. I just purchased all that I could find. Everyone is very friendly and very helpful.

The next booth I stopped by was the Zentangle . Zentangles are pretty much like doodles. But what you might not know is that  you can actually be certified as a Zentangle teacher. They girls ( more like women) had all kinds of books and even offer classes in the area.

They did Zentagles on a ceramic tile. I just love it.

To do Zentagles they use very fin tip pens.

My most favorite is booth is  Stampland! This company is run my the cute couple. She does mini classes of her stamps and techniques while her hubby run the shop. Her hubby also designs the stamps himself.

I was there for a whole hour just watching her use color and stamping  techniques.

Here is a sample of one of her stamps and coloring. She used three different colors to make this skin color. I learn so much from her every time I see her.

Here all the goodies I got at the conventions!!

Would have you ever guessed that I love Alice in Wonderland!

Till later !
