Do you ever wonder what to do with Michale's resin picture frames that you find at the dollar bin? They are so cute and super cheap and I have a stash you will not believe! So I really need to find something to do with them and it came to me when I came home one night and started taking my jewelry off and my son came running over and and wanting to play with it.
I really need a jewelry dish organizer so I always know where everything is and if any little hand have gotten to anything.
The first thing I did that I removed the plastic from the front of the frame. Then I spray painted the frames with Krylon metallic spray paint.
I made a punch in the center of the chipboard of the picture frame. Try not to remove the back of the picture frame like I did because then you going to have to hot glue everything together and you don't want that mess.
Its a little hard to see but I cut out white fabric and batting and placed it in the back of the frame.
I also punched a small hole that a 1/4 inch rod could fit through.
Now the fun begins using epoxy putty, this stuff dries fast and is has hard as steel once its set. I place a small amount in the center of the candle stick that I got at target in the clearance section.
Then added the picture frames to the rod and added washers and nuts keep them in place from the bottom and the top of each frame.
The last thing you need is to add a topper which I used a cabinet nob that I also spray painted metallic.
Now you are done and you have a industrial looking jewelry display.
Stay Crafty,
