At the time when I showed you guys this chair, I had only done two chairs and I was so excited to show you guys my chair before I was completely done with the all four chairs. So the other two chairs sat their all lonely waiting to be done. I did not know why I could not just finish them, when I go the idea or geeky them out! Yes, I did go there.
I actually added a Darth Vader Stencil to my chairs. So at first glance it looks like my chair are just normal but when you pull a chair out you might be surprises what you might find.
I got the Darth Vader stencil here.
I went to Fedex and got the image printed on transparency paper and went to town cutting out the black shaded areas with a x-acto knife.
I needed something to keep the stencil in place because I just hate smudges or when the paint bleeds through on the sides. I found the perfect thing to keep it in place scor-tape which is double sided and you can find at any scrapbooking store.
I got fabric paint in elbony color which mean black in my opinion.
I also did a stencil for Yoda from Star Wars Click here.
I again printed the stencil on a transparency paper from Fedex but if you have it handy you could always print it with your printer. Using transparency paper way better than anything else I have used in the past.
I think Yoda looks like a Pistachio Green, right? I took a small pin roller and placed it on a paper plate and went to town on both stencils. I did about two coats on Darth Vader and three on Yoda since the color was lighter on the fabric.
Ta-da! Yoda appears, this photo is right after I pealed the stencil off.
