Plaid Mod Podge Halloween Table and Flower Pots Tutorial

I have been decorating like crazy for Halloween inside my home but I almost forgot my balcony! I have a small balcony so I had to make sure I had key pieces in place that pop and Mod Podge outdoor helped me make sure my pieces last outside with this hot weather we still have in California. I just can't believe I have not heard of it before until now I am completely in love with Mod Podge outdoor. 

   I had a blast transforming this table into Halloween themed.  If you have not used Mod Podge before let me tell you its super easy. I will tell you that Mod Podge outdoor is a little bit more thicker than regular Mod Podge but still as easy to use. I also use Plaid Mod Podge paper and brush.

I have to tell you that I am in love with the brush! It makes thing so much easier and less messy. 

Just apply and then use the Mod Podge paper over top of it and it sticks super fast. 

Once it was applied I just let it dry. Now the problem I had was the color of the table did not really read Halloween. I decided to use acrylic black paint and then applied a coat of outdoor Mod Podge to seal the paint.

I decided to also distress the edges of the table with black acrylic paint so the paper blends with the table more.

Now to make my flower pots spooky too. I used Stiffy which helps make fabric stiff and stay in place specially useful when used outdoors. 

I just use a little bit on a soaked my fabric in it and place it in place around the flower pot. 

Let it dry and you have fabric that won't move every time the wind blows.
